1. What data do we collect?
Our Society collects personal data only in the following cases.
a. You have sent us an email and we have gained your permission to publish an extract from it on our site.
b. You have asked to become a supporter of SPCS.
In both cases we will collect your name and email address.
2. How do we collect your data?
You directly provide us with this information via email.
3. How will we use your data?
We collect your data so that:
a. In the case that we publish an extract of an email from you.
If challenged by the relevant legal authorities we can prove that we have not invented the extract.
b. In the case that you have become a supporter of SPCS.
We are able to contact you and provide you with news from the society.
4. How do we store your data?
We securely store your data in a password protected spreadsheet which resides on our Society laptop.
There is also a secure backup of this on Microsoft OneDrive.
Our Society will keep your data for the period that your email extract remains on the website or for the period that you remain a supporter.
When we delete your data, it will be removed from both the live spreadsheet and the backup.
5. Marketing
We will never indulge in any marketing to you or send your details to any third party.
